Level Customisation

All topics now support custom levels, and custom levels can be saved and resused using the Syllabus feature.

Topic Enhancements

All existing topics have been enhaced to support level customisation. For example, in the rhythm topics, it is now possible to choose individual note values for each of the time signatures that you wish to practise.

Interface

Auralia’s interface has been given a makeover, keeping the basic workflow, but with more contemporary look and feel.

Notation

All musical notation has been revised and enhanced, with emphasis on beaming and spacing. Auralia now uses Sibelius fonts for all notation, and in topics such as Melodic Dictation, note selection is done using a keypad similar to that used in Sibelius.

On Screen Guitar & Keyboard

It is now possible to use an on screen guitar fretboard to enter your answer in certain topics. The existing on screen keyboard has also been enhanced.

Pitch Recognition

The microphone input in Auralia has been improved, using new algorithms that are more accurate and responsive.

Record Keeping

It is now possible to import lists of students, and in a single user environment, automatic logon of a specified user is available.

Database

Auralia now uses a client server database. This delivers excellent stability and performance, even on larger networks.

Tests

Tests can now be used by multiple classes, and students can attempt tests multiple times, with separate results record for each attempt.

Reports

All reports have been revised and report parameter selection is now far more intuitive.

Scale Editor

Auralia now features a scale editor, allowing you to enter your own scales, and have them appear in your drills.

Chord Editor

The chord editor now supports chord voicings.
